Brownie Trifle

1 box of brownies, prepared as directed (or see Cake Mix Brownies
Coffee liqueur or brandy
2 boxes of instant chocolate pudding, prepared as directed
1 large tub of cool whip
3-4 toffee candy bars (such as Heath or Skor), crushed

Crumble the prepared & cooled brownies and soak with liqueur, just until thoroughly wet. Layer the soaked brownies, chocolate pudding, cool whip, and crushed candy bars in a glass trifle bowl. Repeat the layers, ending with crushed candy bars. You should have 3-4 layers, depending on the thickness of your layers.

Chill until ready to serve. Serves 12.
