Easy cream cheese frosting

8 oz cream cheese
8 T (1 stick) butter
1 C powdered sugar
1 t vanilla extract

Cut cream cheese and butter into pieces and place in a medium mixing bowl at room temperature. Let sit until they are soft.

When they are soft, blend them together with a wooden spoon. Add the sugar, a little at a time, and continue beating until smooth. Stir in vanilla.
