Key Lime Pie

Original 1940’s Key West recipe

4 eggs
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/3 C lime juice

Beat yolks of 4 eggs and white of one until thick. Add milk and beat again. Add lime juice and beat until thick. Beat the 3 remaining egg whites until dry and fold in the mixture. Pour into a baked pie shell and cook about 15 minutes in a slow oven until set.
