I found this tiny, undated clipping in my mother’s cigar box full of recipes. You know what it is? The precursor to Chex Mix! But what a horrible name! I wonder what year this was?
1 T butter or margarine
1/8 t salt
1/2 t onion powder
1 C Corn Chex
Melt butter. Add salt and onion powder and blend thoroughly. Add bite-size shredded corn biscuits. Stir over low heat. Continue heating 5 minutes. Spread out to cool.
