Rosemary Martini

Rosemary syrup
1 C sugar
1 C water
4 4-inch sprigs of rosemary

Bring sugar and water to a boil in a small saucepan. Stir to dissolve. Add rosemary, reduce heat, and simmer for 2 minutes. Cool and discard rosemary.

Martini

1 oz rosemary syrup
2 oz vodka
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz pear brandy
Rosemary sprig to garnish

Shake the vodka, syrup, and lemon juice with ice. Stir in the brandy and pour into a martini glass. Garnish with a rosemary sprig.
